What is 'Insurance'?

This may sound like a rhetorical question, but think about. If you had to explain the meaning of 'insurance' to a child, could you do it?

 Insurance Definition: In a nutshell, the word 'insurance' simply means the act  of protecting a person or property against loss.

This protection could be for an individual, an entire family or in the case of Commercial Insurance, in may be protection for a business.  A growing segment of Commercial Insurance is Small Business Insurance.  This is due in part to the growing number of home-based and small business entering the marketplace.  The primary insurance need of Small Businesses if Liability Insurance.  This helps to protect the company and its owners from lawsuits and misc. claims against the company and its partners.

Imagine if you have a Condominium.  Condo insurance can cover the actual physical structure you own, as well as any contents in or on your property.  It may also cover any person or vehicle that comes onto your property.

That's how insurance works!

Let's say you need auto insurance for your Infinity.  Infinity Insurance may cost you more than insuring a Honda Pilot, because the value of an Infinity is greater than that of a Pilot.  Thus, the Insurance carrier is taking a greater risk when they insure an Infinity, than they do when they insure a Pilot.

With the growing number of individuals, families and business in need of insurance, an Insurance Career is becoming much more popular to many business professionals.  Insurance companies often use profession 'head hunters' to local highly qualified individuals to sell their services.
